  • Hemp Seed Warehouse started in the U.K. in 2016. The founder, Corbett Miteff was researching industrial hemp fiber and noticed a global industry that was essentially non-existent in America. During 2017 Corbett decided to relocate Hemp Seed Warehouse to America to fill the gap and bring European certified hemp seed to American Farmers. At this time, he began traveling to Washington D.C. to lobby US Senators for better industrial hemp legislation. Eventually, he moved the business to Tennessee where he began working closely with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture and used the State’s DEA license to import as many industrial hemp varieties as he could find. Corbett began his own seed trials, eventually finding superior fiber varieties that could withstand the hot and humid summers found in the south. In 2018 he enrolled in an online course in seed technology to better understand his newly found passion. Whilst working with industrial hemp in Maine he began researching his family genealogy and found one of his great ancestors in Massachusetts was a hemp surveyor as noted in the 1790 U.S. census. As such, Corbett likes to say that hemp is in his genes.

  • Root to Flower Hemp Market was created by Bert James in order to facilitate a working network of traditional row crop farmers who have interest in growing industrial hemp as a new crop. Bert’s knowledge and experience comes from a number of sources. He has spent most of his life in agricultural fields and studied farming and education at North Carolina State. It was there he began to survey row crops as a profession, including: cotton, soy and wheat. It only made sense for him to add industrial hemp to the crop rotations for better soil health and balanced farming practices. At the heart of Bert’s consulting philosophy is taking proven farming techniques and combining them with ever-changing scientific knowledge; the result is a special focus on plant nutrition and health throughout all growing cycles, from roots to flower. Bert is not only a crop consultant but also a working farmer. If he's not in the fields working he can be found on the porch with his family, enjoying the countryside at its best.
